USES of HDMI Over Ethernet Extender
This is a product that has an increasing market driven by a number of factors
- Max Length: The maximum run you have with a HDMI lead is normally 20m where this unit allows you achieve 50m with 1080P
- Customise: It is not possible to alter the length of a HDMI lead but CAT5 cable can easily be cut to the required length in the field with basic RJ45 connectors, crimping tool & a roll of CAT5 cable
- Pre-Cabled: Often customers wish to put their HD Satellite receiver in the a corner unit to feed a Flat screen TV hanging over the fire place. Such a set up may have CAT5 cables pre-wired or it may be possible to pull them through.
What Will I Also Possibly Need?
- You will also clearly need; - Ethernet Cable (CAT5 or CAT6 Cable terminated with RJ45s)
- HDMI Cables (to connect to satellite receiver on one end and TV on the other end)
